Our Story

Written in Grub. Lived in the country, when the days begin.

WaterMark Tour Switzerland began in 2025. It is the public name of work done by Züst Works, from Dorf 37, 9035 Grub AR. The door is an office door. It is not a showroom, and it is not a destination. There are no walk-in tours in the village. The journeys are composed here. They are lived in the Alps, on the lakes, in the cities that still reward a slow arrival.

OZ founded the house. He leads it in person. The public name is OZ. The work is the work of a concierge and a facilitator, not the work of a guide. He does not walk in front of you with a flag. He does not narrate a square you can already see. He holds the parts of a journey that fail when they are left to a website: the room that is actually quiet, the table that is not a leftover, the morning that does not begin in a queue, the car that is there when the train is wrong. The country does the rest.

He does not own the hotels. He does not own helicopters, or boats, or a fleet. The house is asset-light on purpose. What it owns is the writing of the days, and the relationships that make those days possible. The named journeys on this site are sold as they are written. Their prices stay as published. They are not rewritten, because we don't chase trends.

Before Grub

For twenty years he made tours with Living Earth Eco Tours, in Vancouver. Ordinary work. Spanish-speaking. He did not own that company. Those years were not a luxury house in Canada, and they will not be dressed as one. There is no next chapter to invent. There is no Big Bus in this story, and there are no Canadian photographs pretending to be the Alps. That work is finished. It taught him how a day is held, and how a day is wasted. It did not invent Swiss guest years.

Thirteen years

For thirteen years he has lived in Switzerland. He knows the country the way a resident knows it: the passes when they are closed, the houses that still keep their winter, the difference between a famous lake and a lake you would actually sit beside. Living here is not the same as having hosted here. Knowledge is not a guest-tour record.

No guest has travelled a WaterMark Swiss itinerary yet. There are no Swiss reviews, and none will be written in advance. No photographs “from our tours.” The first winters with guests will be written, held, and lived from Grub. Honesty is part of the house. A mill would fill the gap with names. This house will not.

How a day begins

The conversation is in English or in Spanish. It is with him. You do not book against a calendar on this site. You request availability. Payment is by card or by the secure payment link in your booking confirmation. There is no cart, and there is no Book.

A small house that pretends every week is open is not a small house. He will tell you when a house cannot be held, when a table is the wrong table, when a mountain day should wait for the wind. That is the work. It is slow on purpose.

The journeys

The halo of the house is the WaterMark Definitive Swiss Tour: fourteen days, from CHF 74,700. Under it sit a winter week, a few shorter named journeys, and private days. Their names are the names. Toboggan Runs and Champagne Nights. Passes & Palaces. Zurich Indulgence. Sky High. Velvet Escape. The Lake and the Legend. Alpine Grapes & Golden Milk. Montreux & the Vines. Parliamentary Legacy. Sherlock Falls.

They are not retold here as a second brochure. If you want the hours, they are on the journey pages, as written. If you want the person who holds them, he is here, at a desk in Appenzell Ausserrhoden.

A word we use sparingly

Luxury has been printed until it means nothing. This house does not use it as a promise. What can be said is quieter. Private cars. Houses that still know how to keep a night. Tables asked for in time. No group, no coach, no itinerary invented at the kerb. If that is luxury, it is the old kind, the kind that does not need to announce itself on the stairs.

If you want the work of a mill, there are mills. This is a small house, and it intends to stay one.

Züst Works sits in Grub. WaterMark Tour is how that work meets a guest. The telephone is +41 78 724 46 22. The letter is info@watermarktour.com. The first conversation is with OZ.
